Pickers are bending and stretching the strings
Picking the notes, making that old Tele ring
The way Roy used to do

 Writers are telling their life in a song
'Bout drinking and cheating and a loves that done gone wrong

Pickers are picking cause they got the blues
Down on their luck with nothing on earth left to lose
Nothing to lose

I'm just a singer, huming the lines
I need the pickers to help me keep tempo
Keep it in time
