DADDY, I GOT A QUESTION

 Daddy, I've got a  question,
It’s  strange to ask you now
I  should have done it a long, long time  ago
Maybe, it’s not too late, but please be honest with me
Daddy, were you ever  happy

Daddy, I've got a  question,

Are you proud of me
I  tried my best to  learn from  you
I  never missed a day of work
And my  word is good as gold
So,  Daddy, I’m more like  you than you'll ever   know

Bridge:   I’m  sorry I’ve waited so  long
Forgive me for  putting this in a song
Ahhh,  Daddy,  were you ever  happy

 Daddy, I've got a  question,

Back  when you were a child
I  know it was tough in  those depression  days
With  seven brothers and sisters
Were  you a good boy or were you wild
Daddy, were you ever  happy

TAG:  Daddy,  were you ever  happy
